How to make frozen air fryer chicken thighs (step-by-step)
Ingredient notes
- Boneless skinless chicken thighs – The recipe calls for boneless skinless chicken thighs, but you can use bone-in and skin on thighs. You will need to adjust cooking time after you flip, and cook until the internal temperature reaches 165° Fahrenheit. Also, start the cooking with the skin side facing down so it finishes with the skin facing up.
- Seasonings – We used salt, garlic powder, onion powder and chili powder. You can really use any of your favorite seasoning combos though. We also love using salt and Italian seasoning for something super simple.

25-Minute Air Fryer Chicken Thighs (No Thaw!)
Ingredients
- 5-6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp avocado oil

Instructions
- Turn on air fyer at 400° and set for 25 minutes. Allow it to preheat for 5 minutes.
- While the air fryer preheats, add all of the dry seasonings to a bowl and mix. Set aside.
- When the timer is at 20 minutes, place the frozen chicken thighs in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding the basket for even cooking.
- Cook for 8 minutes and then remove. Brush oil and season the partially cooked thighs on the top side. Flip and brush oil and season the other side.
- Return to the air fryer and continue cooking for another 8-10 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°.
- Once fully cooked, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
