Air fryer apples ingredients

This is super simple. Here’s what you need.

  • Apples
  • Grassfed butter, ghee or coconut oil
  • Cinnamon
  • Whatever toppings you desire or have on hand. See below for some ideas and favorites of mine.

What kind of apples are best for baked air fryer apples

You can’t really go wrong here, but my favorites are probably honeycrisp or green apples. I like how the tartness becomes a little milder and sweeter with baking, and they don’t get too mushy.

Honestly, whatever you have on hand that sounds good is the perfect topping! Here are some of my favorites.

How to make baked apples in the air fryer

These air fryer baked apples are super easy to make and customize. Each person can choose their own toppings and the base recipe only requires 3 ingredients.

  1. Slice apples in half and remove stem, core and seeds with a spoon or knife.
  2. Add a little ghee to each half.
  3. Sprinkle halves with cinnamon on top.
  4. Add any dry ingredients – like chopped nuts or granola or a crumble topping (not quite dry but you’d want to bake it).
  5. Air fry for 12-15 minutes until they reach your desired softness.
  6. Remove and add any additional toppings – like whipped coconut cream.

Easy Air Fryer Baked Cinnamon Apples

These easy air fryer baked cinnamon apples are a healthier dessert idea. With just three simple base ingredients – apples, ghee or coconut oil and cinnamon – you can easily customize the toppings to make it a family friendly treat!

Ingredients

  • 3 apples, sliced in half and seeds and stem removed
  • Ghee, (grassfed butter or coconut oil)
  • Cinnamon, to taste

  • Preheat air fryer to 350° Fahrenheit if yours requires preheating.
  • Cut apples in half and remove stem, seeds and core with a spoon or knife.
  • Drop about a 1/2 tsp of ghee in each apple half. Sprinkle with cinnamon and add any dry toppings you desire. Some ideas are listed above.
  • Bake in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes, until they reach your desired softness.
  • Once done, remove and add any additional toppings you'd like and serve warm. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Best reheated when served again.
