These Paleo + Keto baked jicama fries feel like the greatest low carb fry option! We seasoned them simply and baked them to make for an easy side that really hits the spot!

Ingredients

  • 1 jicama, peeled and chopped into 1/4" matchsticks (1 large or 2-3 small jicama)
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 tsp nutritional yeast
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper and combine dry seasonings in a small bowl. Set aside. 
  • Place about 4 cups of water in a large stock pot and bring to a boil. 
  • While water is heating up, carefully peel jicama using a pairing knife and chop into 1/4" matchsticks. Once boiling, add jicama fries to pot, cover and boil for 10 minutes. 
  • Remove from heat and drain water. Either in a bowl or on the baking sheet, toss jicama fries with avocado oil and seasoning mixture. Spread out on baking sheet in an single layer and place in the oven. 
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through. Once done, remove and serve with your favorite dipping sauces!
