Prep peppers, onions and basil as noted and gather the remaining ingredients.
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add in the sesame oil. Once the oil is shimmering, add in the pork and the white part of the onions. Break the pork up into smaller pieces and season it with the Chinese 5 spice and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pork is browned and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes.
Add in the peppers with the pork and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until they just start to soften.
Next, add the green parts of the onions and basil to the skillet. Stir to mix. Cook for 2-3 more minutes, stirring frequently, until the basil has softened.
Remove from heat and serve.
