This easy recipe for blackened mahi mahi comes together quickly and the fish turns out smoky, savory, and so good! Serve with any veggies, over rice or pasta or make yourself some spicy fish tacos!
Combine all of the cajun seasoning mix ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Pat fish dry with a paper towel. Season filets liberally with the seasoning mixture, patting it in to the fish.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add oil to the pan. Once hot, add fish to pan and let cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes until a crust forms on the underside.
Flip and continue to cook undisturbed until fish is opaque and cooked through (another 2-5 minutes, depending on the size of fillets).
Remove from heat and serve. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over fish.
