Preheat oven to 450 degrees fahrenheit and line a baking pan with parchment paper* or foil. *(Some parchment paper shouldn't be used for high-heat cooking. Be sure to check the packaging for any heat limits when using parchment paper).
Place drumsticks on the baking pan and place in the oven to bake for 35 minutes, until browned and slightly crispy on the outside.
While the chicken is cooking, make your sauce by adding all remaining ingredients to a small sauce pan and mixing well. Heat to a low boil and then turn down the heat to simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce is slightly thickened. Remove from heat and the sauce will continue to thicken a bit as it sits.
When the chicken has baked for 35 minutes, remove it from the oven and brush on both sides with the sauce. Return to the oven to bake for another 5 minutes and then remove. Allow to cool for a few minutes and serve.
