Nothing says cold weather like a steaming bowl of chili. Make a big batch of this meaty paleo elk chili to warm you up from the inside out.

Ingredients
For the chili:

ground elk (or beef or bison)

lb
spicy Italian sausage

leek or medium onion
- chopped

cloves garlic
- minced

14.5 oz cans organic diced tomatoes

6 oz can tomato paste

tbsp
chili powder
1
tbsp
pepper
1
tbsp
smoked paprika
1
tbsp
cumin
1
tsp
salt
1
tsp
cayenne pepper
Optional toppings:
Chopped onion
Avocado
Olives
Diced tomato
Instructions
Place all of the chili ingredients in the
crockpot
.
Mix everything together well with a spoon to distribute the spices evenly.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
Scoop into a bowl and add on any toppings you want. Enjoy!
