This 25-minute recipe for ground chicken tacos is a quick weeknight dinner that’s easy to get on the table fast. Mix and match toppings to please the whole family!
taco shells of choice(crunchy, corn tortillas, etc.)
chopped lettuce or cabbage
chopped onion and cilantro
shredded cheese
Instructions
Prep the onion as noted and prepare the taco seasoning by mixing all of the taco seasoning ingredients in a small bowl.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add in the oil. Once the pan is hot, add in the onion and cook, stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes.
Add in the ground chicken and break it into small pieces. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes.
While the chicken cooks, gather/prepare your serving/topping items.
Add in the taco seasoning and mix to coat the ground chicken. Remove from heat.
Serve the warm ground chicken in tortillas/taco shells with lettuce, onion, cilantro and cheese, or your other desired toppings.
